Yes. Privé operates in accordance with the approved French tax ruling Rescrit RI n° 2026-19 and French VAT regulations. Privé purchases goods from European retailers at VAT-exempt export prices and resells them to customers outside the EU, managing the export process, documentation, customs formalities, and shipping. Privé maintains all required documentation.

How VAT-exempt export selling works

Under French VAT law, including Article 73 G of Annex III to the General Tax Code and Article 262, I of the General Tax Code, goods exported outside the EU are exempt from VAT. Privé's activity is carried out in accordance with the approved French tax ruling Rescrit RI n° 2026-19. Unlike a tourist refund, French VAT is not charged on the export sale. Who is behind Privé

Privé is the trade name of Travel Money SAS, 14 Rue Charles V, 75004 Paris, share capital €3,000, RCS Paris 932 697 022, VAT FR75 932 697 022. Travel Money SAS buys from the brand or boutique under a resale agreement and resells to the customer. It is the seller and the exporter. Travel Money Inc., a Delaware corporation, is only the US parent. Privé was founded in 2025, with a team across Austin, Paris, and San Francisco. We operate an iOS app and a web shop at shop.withprive.com.

What's included in your price

The price shown includes an estimate of shipping and duties. The final price is set at checkout, and US sales or use tax may apply. Every order is fully insured while in transit, and shipping is door-to-door via DHL courier service. Every item is purchased brand-new directly from the brand or its authorized retailers.
